Search: The real disease that turns people to 'zombies'

With the recent, gruesome stories of an alleged face-eating man, heart-eating man and body-part-mailing man gaining attention, even the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has been forced to weigh in to assure people that a "zombie apocalypse" is not in fact happening (what did the CDC say?). But a very real, and very deadly disease does exist (spread by this insect), called African trypanosomiasis, or "sleeping sickness," and some scientists say that it turns people to "zombies" (watch a short documentary on the disease).
