Researchers say the ingredient diacetyl, which is commonly used in microwave popcorn (for what?), may be linked to a key process for Alzheimer's disease (which former president suffered from it?).  According to their study, the ingredient can make proteins in the brain clump together abnormally – which usually sparks the disease.  Besides popcorn, diacetyl is also found in snacks and candy (and which alcoholic drink?).
