Search: Man hides $15K in oven, wife cooks it

An Australian man says he sold his sports car for $15,000 (what kind was it?) and hid the cash in his oven at home.  He says he put it there temporarily because the oven rarely gets used.  That day, however, he says his wife preheated the oven (to bake what?) and ended up melting the cash (how much did they lose?).  The man was reportedly planning on using the money (what is it made out of?) to pay some urgent bills.
