Search: 90-year-old skydives for first time

World War II veteran Lester Slate from Maine celebrated his 90th birthday by jumping out of a plane for the first time.  Slate apparently learned how to use a parachute during his days in the war (what did he do?).  He had a tandem jumper with him and made the jump in front of more than 50 family and friends.  Slate says he was inspired by a former president (whom?), who went skydiving on his 85th birthday (watch the video).
