A one-page receipt dated in March 1840 by Polish composer and pianist Frederic Chopin is up for auction. The receipt appears to be for the sale of the copyrights to two of his popular compositions (watch video of one of them being played). So far the document is getting higher-than-expected bids (what's the highest so far?). Also being auctioned is a letter from author J.D. Salinger mentioning his popular novel (which one?).
