Search: Bill would ban food stamp 'sweets'

Orange juice, vegetables and milk would be OK. Soda, Jell-O and ice cream: Not so much. These standards and others would be applied to food-stamp purchases in Florida if one state senator gets her way (how many Floridians use food stamps?). Ronda Storms, R-Valrico, wants to make it illegal for anyone to use food stamps to buy "sweets" (have similar efforts been rejected?).
