Search: Waitress gets to keep $12K tip

Police in Minnesota decided to let a waitress (where does she work?) keep a $12,000 tip she says they seized from her (why did the police take the money?).  The waitress said a customer left a take out box at her table and when she reminded them, the customer told her to keep it.  After seeing the cash inside the box, the waitress called the police and they told her the money had to be held (what did they say the money smelled like?).
